About Open Arms
Empowering the Future Generation
The mismanagement of educational resources in Sierra Leone has left many people impoverished and hungry, forcing them to make the difficult decision between feeding their children and educating them. Consequently, we observe a generation of young people who prefer working on farms to eat for the day or staying at home rather than pursuing formal education.
Open Arms Sierra Leone is a project that was cultivated from the early childhood experiences of our CEO. Having experienced and endured the limitations surrounding education and its perceived value in the community, she was able to access immeasurable educational success that planted the seed. From that seed, Open Arms was established to increase access to resources and promote optimal educational success.

Open Arms believes that no young person should have to choose between a meal and a quality education. We understand the importance of both education and nourishment, and with your support, we can continue to empower young people to have access to both. Together, we can make sure they experience the best of both worlds.
